Hours: 10 hours per week

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

3:30pm-until 5:00pm

Wednesday - 1pm-5pm

Program runs September 20, 2021 - May 26, 2022


Hourly rate: $14.19 per hour

These positions are open until filled.


Duties:   Under the direction of the Youth and Teen Manager and Program Coordinator, Youth Leaders plan, organize and lead daily activities for children ages 6-12.  After school programs consist of approximately 20-30 participants and 3 staff members.  Activities include arts and crafts, group games/ competitions, sports, and songs.


Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years of age. Applicants are subject to a position-relevant background check. 


Preferred Qualifications:  One (1) year or more of experience working with children in a recreation, teaching or day camp environment; knowledge of age appropriate athletic and social activities, crafts and other large group activities for children between 6-12 years old; ability to live by Kent Parks mission of "Dedicated to Enriching Lives" and demonstrate the following characteristics: responsible, respectful, honest, energetic, passionate, flexible, original, creative, dependable, thoughtful.
