The Leadership Bottlenecks Keeping Your Business Small
Presented by Zenovia Harris, CEO, Kent Chamber of Commerce
Your business may not need another marketing strategy, networking event, new program, or new idea.
It may need you to lead differently.
Join Kent Chamber CEO Zenovia Harris for an interactive, hands-on CEO Working Session focused on identifying the leadership habits, decisions, and bottlenecks that may be quietly limiting your organization's growth.
This will not be a traditional luncheon where you simply sit and listen.
You are going to work on your actual business.
Throughout the session, participants will examine where their time is going, what they are holding onto that should be delegated, which decisions they may be avoiding, and whether they are functioning as the CEO and leader of their organization—or simply becoming its busiest employee.
During This Interactive Session, You Will:
- Identify leadership habits and bottlenecks that may be limiting your growth
- Determine where your organization has become too dependent on you
- Learn the Four CEO Leadership Shifts
- Examine what you should continue doing, delegate, eliminate, or redesign
- Explore how clearer boundaries, expectations, and accountability can strengthen your organization
- Identify one important decision you have been avoiding
- Calculate what continuing to delay that decision may be costing your business
- Create your own Leadership Bottleneck Action Plan
The Four CEO Leadership Shifts
Doer → Leader
Stop measuring your value by how much you personally accomplish.
Problem Solver → Capacity Builder
Build people, systems, and processes that can solve problems without everything coming through you.
People Pleaser → Clear Leader
Strengthen expectations, boundaries, communication, accountability, and psychological safety.
Opportunity Chaser → Strategic Decision-Maker
Learn to determine which opportunities support your business strategy—and which are simply distractions.
The Decision You've Been Avoiding
Every participant will identify one decision they already know needs to be addressed.
Then we'll ask:
What is avoiding this decision costing you?
Is it costing you revenue?
Time? Energy? Customers? Employees? Growth?
You won't be required to share private business information with the entire room. Participants will complete individual exercises with opportunities for peer discussion and live coaching examples.
You Will Leave With:
A digital Leadership Bottleneck Workbook, along with a personalized action plan that identifies:
Your leadership bottleneck
What it is costing your organization
The leadership shift you need to make
The decision you need to address
What you need to stop doing
What you need to start doing
What you need to delegate
Your next action
Your 7-day commitment
Your 30-day leadership goal
Who Should Attend?
This session is designed for business owners, entrepreneurs, executives, nonprofit leaders, managers, and emerging leaders who feel like:
Everything depends on them.
They are constantly putting out fires.
They struggle to delegate.
They have difficulty saying no.
They are avoiding an important employee, customer, partner, or organizational decision.
They are working harder without seeing proportional growth.
Or they are ready to move from simply operating the business to leading the business.
Come Prepared to Work
Bring one real business or leadership challenge that you are currently facing.
Come with a challenge. Leave with a decision and a plan.
