Join Kent Police Chief Ken Thomas, Valley Cities Counseling & Consultation CEO Ken Taylor, Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission COO David Mitchell and Volken Academy Program Director Jon Naegle in a conversation regarding Safe Injection Sites.

The Puget Sound Gateway Project and Levee Update
With the Director of Public Works for the City of Kent, Tim Laporte
The Puget Sound Gateway Program is comprised of two unique projects, SR 509 and SR 167 , which together make major improvements to relieve traffic congestion and improve freight mobility. The Gateway Program is the key to enhancing the state’s economic competitiveness, both nationally and globally, by connecting the state’s largest ports to key distribution centers in King and Pierce counties and to eastern Washington.
Government Affairs is open to members only.
If you are interested in joining our organization please contact Business Development Director Virginia Larsen at (253) 854-1770 or email her at vlarsen@kentchamber.com
The Government Affairs committee develops the Chamber's legislative agenda for issues addressed at the State legislature. The committee is comprised of small business, corporate members and municipal leaders from Kent and around the region. The committee evaluates local, regional and state issues that affect the business climate and quality of life (including initiatives and referendum). After extensive evaluation on issues the committee makes recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding the Chamber?s position on issues.
