The link between business success and education could not be stronger and more inter-dependent then right now. What goes on in the classrooms, trade shops and technology labs will help determine whether our regions economy continues to grow and benefit all communities and industry sectors.
That is why we need you at the table ? a roundtable to be exact ? to talk about the workforce issues facing businesses and to focus on how community and technical colleges can better prepare people with the skills they need to succeed in today?s economy.
I hope you can join us, business leaders from our region, and Dr. Suzanne Johnson, President of Green River College, Dr. John Mosby, President of Highline College, Dr. Kevin McCarthy, President of Renton Technical College, state lawmakers, and representatives from the State Board of Community & Technical Colleges, for an interactive discussion on the following topics.
