Soloist Brian Wharton grew up listening to his mother play Lalo's Cello Concerto. They both love it for its romantic melodies and fiery passages and appreciate it for its effectiveness in building technique and stamina. Wharton performed this work with the Auburn Symphony Orchestra in May 2016. Enjoy again the lyricism and Spanish flavor of this powerful and emotional work.
