Join us for a free community celebration that brings together local culture, creativity, and connection in a vibrant outdoor experience for all ages. The event will feature themed gardens filled with hands-on art and history exhibits, youth-led activities, food trucks, live performances, and interactive spaces that highlight the heart of the South King County region.

Guests can explore community resources, meet local businesses, and enjoy performances from regional schools and cultural groups. Every garden offers something unique to discover, creating an inviting space to learn, celebrate, and connect.

Sound Transit presents this celebration in partnership with the City of Kent, the City of Des Moines, and local community organizations. Attendees are encouraged to take transit and be part of welcoming a new era of connection, sustainability, and community pride with the opening of the Kent/Des Moines light rail station.
