We have assembled some of our members who deal daily with the ramifications of Heroin in our community.   Join Kent Police Chief Ken Thomas\, Valley Cities Counseling & Consultation CEO Ken Taylor\, Seattle's Union Gospel Mission COO David Mitchell and Volken Academy Program Director Jon Naegle in a conversation regarding Safe Injection Sites. \n\n\n\nFrom 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. we will discuss:\n\nThe Puget Sound Gateway Project and Levee Update \n\nWith the Director of Public Works for the City of Kent\, Tim Laporte\n\nThe Puget Sound Gateway Program is comprised of two unique projects\, SR 509 and SR 167 \, which together make major improvements to relieve traffic congestion and improve freight mobility. The committee is comprised of small business\, corporate members and municipal leaders from Kent and around the region. The committee evaluates local\, regional and state issues that affect the business climate and quality of life (including initiatives and referendum). After extensive evaluation on issues the committee makes recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding the Chamber?s position on issues.
