The project also develops a shovel-ready plan for extending light rail to the Federal Way Transit Center when additional funding is secured. The corridor is about 7.6 miles long and parallels SR 99 and Interstate 5.\n\nAbout our Speaker:  Ric's primary focus has been developing and implementing a multi-billion dollar high capacity transit expansion program in Seattle and the Puget Sound region. He also oversees policy and business development\, with emphasis on Transit Oriented Development and Sustainability.  After 13 years at the federal level\, including stints in the executive branch\, US Senate\, and US House\, Ric has been a key member of the executive leadership team at Sound Transit since 2001.
